Hey everyone, we wanted to let you know that we are nearly out of space for Senior Sessions at ARP Prep! In fact, if you want to book ARP Prep for your senior portraits this year you need to book your Session in September. That’s only a few days away!

Just so there’s no misunderstanding: If you want to book your Senior Session with ARP Prep this year, you must book your session in September.

It’s super easy to do. First, read about our Senior Sessions and decide which one fits your needs best. Then contact us to book your session! What are you waiting for? Let’s go!

McKenzie’s Senior Session

McKenzie is our one of our ARP Prep seniors from Center Hill! She’s a cheerleader who LOVES Bon Jovi! Her sister was one of our seniors a few years ago, and we are super excited to have her join us this year so that we could tell her story as well!

Here are a few of our favorite images from her Senior Session. And yes, there was definitely some Bon Jovi blasting in the studio that day!

Major’s Senior Session

We’d like everyone to meet Major, one of our S.B.E.C. seniors for the Class of 2012. The Mosby’s are definitely a big part of the ARPfamily; in fact, he’s the third Mosby to have us shoot their Senior Session! Major loves metal (as you can see on his license plate) and he loves spending time at the pool. We would too if we had an awesome slide like that! Shelby’s Senior Session

Shelby is one of our Hernando Reps for the Class of 2012. We usually tell you a little bit about our Reps, but Shelby wrote her own introduction so we’ll let her do the talking!Hey everyone! I’m Shelby Griffith and I’m an ARP Prep Rep! Although I was born in Utah and raised in North Carolina, I am a senior at Hernando High School. Senior year is going to be the best yet! I just cannot believe that in a year from now, I will be out on my own! If there is anything you will learn about me within the first minutes of talking to me, it’s that I absolutely LOVE Disney World and I can’t ever be serious. Allison will be one to tell you that no matter what, I could never give her a serious face. I always remember this quote, “there are hundreds of languages in the world, but a smile speaks them all.” I am a firm believer that laughing is always the best medicine. Also, I am probably the most random person you will ever meet. I love to swim and take pictures. My whole family is big on sports and we all have our favorite teams! I hope to one day travel all over Europe. There are so many goals I have in life, but I know with hard work and help from the Lord, I can do anything! Philippians 4:13

Hannah’s Senior Session

College….. Oh just the word gets me excited, nervous, and scared all at the same time. About a month or so ago I was freaking about college and the future and just everything, you know like “what if I don’t get in to college?”, “what if I don’t have enough money for college?”, “if I go here will this person think I’m copying them?”, and stupid stuff like that.

So I was sitting in my room talking to God and just spending time with Him and I thought, “I’m freaking out about this stuff and I know that I just need to trust you and you will take care of it.” Then it clicked when I said that, I was doubting God and I needed to just give Him complete control and stop worrying about it because He will take care of it, wherever He wants me to go He will make a way for me to get there.

The other night I got to hang out with a good friend of mine that is in college and just talk to her. She said if you decide to go here you have a roommate, a church, and a friend! That was really awesome to me because those were some of the things that I was freaking out about. Anyway, my tip about these college worries is to just completely and totally trust God!

We’d like to introduce Shelby, our Hernando Rep! She’s a very involved student with a passion for helping others. She’s also got a thing for photography, which we certainly can appreciate! She made a pretty cool observation in her application about why Senior Sessions are so meaningful : “Photographs allow us to remember details that our mind can sometimes lose track of.” We agree!

I think by the time senior year rolls around, seniors are already stressed enough. Making sure your classes, clubs, and everything else is straightened out is already hard enough. Choosing where you go to college shouldn’t be stressful, it should be fun! It’s going to be your home for the next four years so making sure it’s the right college for you is key! Here are a few tips I’ve picked up in my college decision making:

1: Don’t do everything last minute! Go ahead and start looking at colleges your sophomore year. It helps you figure out the ones you definitely dont like if nothing else. If you find one you really like, apply when the application first comes out! That way you’ll have first priority if you do end up going there.
2: It’s YOUR decision! Don’t let your parents, grandparents or anyone else tell you where to go. This is your future, not theirs! Their input is good and should be welcomed, but don’t base everything on what they say.
3: VISIT! I think visiting schools is one of the best things you can do for your future. It helps you figure out if you could fit in there. Most high schools allow absences for visit days, so use them!

Wesley’s Senior Session

Allison photographed Wesley for the first time several years ago when his sister graduated. She’s been looking forward to shooting his senior session ever since! He kept her laughing the entire session, but as you can see he can get pretty serious (it only takes about 2 seconds)! He loves everything from TOMs to theater and we’re sure you’ll see him on the stage soon showcasing his talent!!!
